Every time you donate blood it’s like a complementary check-up:

1. They check temperature;
2. They check blood pressure;
3. They check iron level;
4. You can get some health-related information. For example:
   • What is my iron level?
   • What is the acceptable iron level range?
5. Being a blood donor lifts spirits and provides positive emotional wellbeing. Knowing you are helping others, particularly in this time of great need for blood, is fulfilling.  This also encourages leading a healthy lifestyle to continue ability to donate.

It’s like a mini-physical every 8 weeks!
